What is a Dual Fuel Kit?

GasTech’s Dual Fuel Kit can be easily retrofitted onto existing high-speed diesel engines, enabling them to simultaneously operate with diesel and natural gas. In Dual Fuel mode, a much reduced amount of diesel serves as the ignition pilot for the air-gas mixture. The gas replaces a substantial portion of diesel, producing equivalent amount of power. Dual Fuel converted engines can still run on diesel-only as the primary fuel. What’s more, a state-of-the-art electronic controller continuously monitors critical engine parameters, ensuring utmost safety and maximizing diesel substitution.
